Project Overview
In 2006, I led the development of the Gold and Jewelry Buying and Selling System, a customized retail management solution designed specifically for gold and jewelry retailers. The system streamlined inventory management, sales tracking, and purchase processing, allowing store owners to efficiently manage daily operations and improve business performance.
As the Team Leader, I was responsible for:
Managing a team of 5 developers, overseeing the development lifecycle, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Defining system architecture and technical strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Supervising database design and performance optimization to handle large transaction volumes. Coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring the system met business requirements.
The platform featured an intuitive user interface developed in C#.Net, offering a smooth and responsive experience for store staff. The SQL Server database was chosen to ensure high performance, data security, and scalability, handling large volumes of transactions and customer records efficiently.

Inventory Management – Real-time tracking of gold and jewelry stock levels, including weight, purity, and pricing. Sales & Purchase Processing – Automated transaction recording with detailed reports on revenue, expenses, and profitability. Customer & Supplier Management – Storing customer and supplier data for efficient order tracking and relationship management. Security & Role-Based Access – Implementing multi-level user access to ensure secure handling of transactions and data. Reporting & Analytics – Generating financial reports and insights to help retailers make informed business decisions.
